There has been a need for a gas mining ship for a long time so i'm happy with this news.
... But with this gas mining ship, with only one gas miner, be better than using a normal ship with 5 t2 gas harvesters?

It has three miners... 4 High slots, 3 turret hardpoints and an utility slot.
Ah okay. Any info on what the mining bonus will be? I'm guessing 100% but 200% would make it a fantastic little ship IMO.

Then what is the point in making the ship? Gas mining is not a beginners activity and there is currently no ship that has a gas mining bonus, so it does in fact, need to be "THE gas sucker".
Here is want i would like to see: If the ship gets a 100% bonus to gas harvester cycle time, then it will be the best gas mining ship by a small but pretty much, an intensification amount. So ORE should bring out a specialized mod for the ORE frigate.
This new module could have a remote effect that further reduces the cycle time by 10%, so for every 10 ORE frigs in the fleet, you effectively have an extra harvester. This would mean that we would see blobs of these ships roaming through wormhole space harvesting gas, for example.
I would create a group mining activity as well as creating pvp opportunities.

As far as i know it only has gas mining bonuses and not ore mining bonuses, so a new miner may as well fit mining lasers on a normal t1 ship while they train for a retriever.
This will be the only gas mining ship in game so it needs to be good at that job.

Na, people like you that post but don't have any particular point to make is what's crap about forums in general... At lease i put my self out there and say what i think, in an attempt to create a constructive discussion.
Ps. After listening to the recordings of the ORE frig details, it appears that i was wrong and the ORE frig does, in fact, have normal mining bonuses. I just hope that if this is going to be the only specialized gas mining ship in game, that it has some worthwhile bonuses (e.g. 150-200% bonus to gas harvest amount)
